“Joy In Serving Jesus”

 1 Peter 1:8-9 (NASB)

⁸ and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 

⁹ obtaining as the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.  

 

Pray collectively for these (5) things:

1. Focus on JESUS
2. In JESUS Presence
3. A New & Living Way
4. Fullness of CHRIST
5. Love & Unity

 

1. Focus on JESUS

Galatians 3:29 (NASB)

²⁹ And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise.

Hebrews 10:23 (NASB)

²³ Let’s hold firmly to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;

 

2. In JESUS Presence

 Hebrews 12:1-2 (NASB)

¹ Therefore, since we also have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let’s rid ourselves of every obstacle and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with endurance the race that is set before us,

 ² looking only at Jesus, the originator and perfecter of the faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

 

3. A New & Living Way

 Hebrews 10:19-25 (NASB)

¹⁹ Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, 

²⁰ by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, through His flesh, 

²¹ and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 

²² let’s approach God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 

²³ Let’s hold firmly to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; 

²⁴ and let’s consider how to encourage one another in love and good deeds, 

²⁵ not abandoning our own meeting together, as is the habit of some people, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

 

4. Fullness of CHRIST

Ephesians 4:11-14 (NASB)

¹¹ And He gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, some as pastors and teachers, 

¹² for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ; 

¹³ until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. 

¹⁴ As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of people, by craftiness in deceitful scheming;

 

5. Love & Unity

 Ephesians 4:15-16 (NASB)

¹⁵ but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, that is, Christ, 

¹⁶ from whom the whole body, being fitted and held

together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.
