God the Son

Matthew 1:21-23 (NASB)
²¹  "She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins."
²²  Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet:
²³  "BEHOLD, THE VIRGIN SHALL BE WITH CHILD AND SHALL BEAR A SON, AND THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME IMMANUEL," which translated means, "GOD WITH US."

1.     His Presence Speaks Volumes

Hebrews 1:1-3 (NASB)
¹  God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways,
²  in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world.
³  And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

Isaiah 9:6-7 (NASB)
⁶  For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
⁷  There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this.

2.     His Sacrificial Love Sets The Standard

Hebrews 2:9-13 (NASB)
⁹  But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.
¹⁰  For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to perfect the author of their salvation through sufferings.
¹¹  For both He who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one Father; for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren,
¹²  saying, "I WILL PROCLAIM YOUR NAME TO MY BRETHREN, IN THE MIDST OF THE CONGREGATION I WILL SING YOUR PRAISE."
¹³  And again, "I WILL PUT MY TRUST IN HIM." And again, "BEHOLD, I AND THE CHILDREN WHOM GOD HAS GIVEN ME."

3.     His Power Provides Hope & Freedom

Hebrews 2:14-15 (NASB)
¹⁴  Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,
¹⁵  and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.
