What Is Our Purpose?

1031 Youth, the youth ministry of First Baptist Church- Trenton, exists to carry out the Great Commision focusing on students in 7th-12th grades. Our goal is simple: Make Disciples Who Make Disciples. Our focal verse for all that we do comes from 1 Corinthians 10:31 which says, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” In a world of sin and darkness, the truth remains that every single thing we do either brings glory to God, or it doesn’t. Everything we do shows others the love of Christ, or it doesn’t. Our ministry seeks to teach, grow, and guide students into becoming individuals who seek to glorify God in all that they do.

How Do We Do It?

The most important aspect of our ministry is that we work hard to build true relationships with every single student that is a part of our ministry. For us to better teach each student, we have to know who they are as individuals. God has made each of us unique and different. To fully be able to teach our students, we have to understand who they are. For us to better minister to them, we have to know what their life is like and what things they deal with each day. For us to better impact them, they have to see us for who we really are, sinners saved by grace trying to serve the one true God. True, personal relationships with our students is one of the most crucial components of our youth ministry.

Regularly Scheduled Gatherings

Life Connect Group: 9:30am in the Youth Room (3rd Floor)

*Each Sunday morning, we gather for a time of fellowship and Bible study focused on our students and intended to help them grow in this specific phase of their lives.

Corporate Worship: 10:30am in the Sanctuary

*Following our Life Connect Group, we join with the rest of the church for corporate worship. Although we do spend time focusing specifically on our students, it is important that they also know they are a part of our whole church.

Wednesday Night Worship: 6:00pm in the Youth Room (3rd Floor)

*On Wednesday evenings, we kick things off with a meal and time of fellowship then jump into a time of games, activities, and Bible study.
