Walking The Walk

Philippians 3:17-21 (NASB)

¹⁷  Brethren, join in following my example, and observe those who walk according to the pattern you have in us.

¹⁸  For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ,

¹⁹  whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, who set their minds on earthly things.

²⁰  For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;

²¹  who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.

1.       Walking After The Godly Example Set

Philippians 3:17 (NASB)

Acts 23:2-5 (NASB)

²  The high priest Ananias commanded those standing beside him to strike him on the mouth.

³  Then Paul said to him, "God is going to strike you, you whitewashed wall! Do you sit to try me according to the Law, and in violation of the Law order me to be struck?"

⁴  But the bystanders said, "Do you revile God's high priest?"

⁵  And Paul said, "I was not aware, brethren, that he was high priest; for it is written, 'YOU SHALL NOT SPEAK EVIL OF A RULER OF YOUR PEOPLE.'"

2.       Avoiding The Dangers Of Walking As An Enemy Of The Cross  

Philippians 3:18-19 (NASB)

¹⁸  For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ,

1 John 4:1-3 (NASB)

¹  Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

²  By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God;

³  and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world.

3.       Walking In Heavenly Glory  

Philippians 3:20-21 (NASB)
